  • Torah / Kabbalah / Mussar

This combination of Torah (text), Kabbalah (spirituality) and Mussar (behavior refinement) is a triad of study that will enhance, update and deepen your understanding of Torah. You will be empowered, it will positively affect your business and your relationships and your spiritual life. Wherever you are, this will exceed your current wellness and self help practices. Teaching the profound meaning of Torah is my greatest joy because it is creative and fun. We laugh, we share and we learn!

  • Shabbat

Shabbat provides us with an opportunity to pause and contemplate the spiritual aspects of life. I offer many ways to celebrate, from in-home musical / modern traditional “soiree type” of Shabbat services, to ½ hour candlelight Shabbat on-line, to Traditional Shabbat services in Temple. I even conduct Shabbat in nature with Sha-hikes. Shabbat is a special time to reset, digest the week and productively rest your nervous system.

  • Retreats

This is a real opportunity to get away from it all and truly reset your brain. Through the lens of Judaism and Wellness explore ways to use the tools of prayer, tradition, ritual, creativity, wisdom, meditation, music, and body work. Join me for an afternoon, a weekend, or just a few hours to explore nature, gain insights and reflect. Retreats are curated as less of an escape from the world and more of an intentional opportunity to come into closer touch with yourself.

  • Current Events

We are living at a time where Judaism is being challenged with growing antisemitism, Israel in conflict and division, and both adults and children in dire need of new approaches to help cope with the aftermath of Covid. Discussions, sharing information and community support in a safe space is the remedy to our stress.

  • Conversion

I offer a one-on-one Conversion immersive experience. Each individual is encouraged to find their sacred nitsche in the tapestry of Jewish tradition. My 18 week course covers the cyclical nature of the Jewish year; holidays, lifecycle, prayers, Shabbat experiences, a field trip to the Museum of Tolerance, study course materials, Beit Din and Mikveh/certificate of Conversion. Go at your own pace and find your path forward.

  • B'nai Mitzvah

The occasion of your child becoming Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a very special time for you and your family. This rite of passage in Jewish life enables and encourages us to pause to appreciate the awesomeness of your child taking an honored place in the chain of our Jewish tradition. It is my honor to customize and prepare your child to participate in the experience of leading a Shabbat service, chanting from Torah and teaching their community how their Torah portion relates to their life.

The families that have gone through the Bnei Mitzvah with me will tell you that it was a transformational experience for all.

  • Religious School

The Nachshon Religious School is a place where your children can discover Judaism as an extension of their developing Jewish identity. Our atmosphere is relaxed, supportive and camp-like. • Wedding

A traditional Jewish wedding is a tapestry woven from many threads: biblical, historical, mystical, cultural and legal. Threads carried from one generation to the next, form a chain of Jewish continuity which goes back more than 3,800 years. Whether you are marrying traditional, non traditional, intermarried or LGBTQIA+, I will lead you through the rituals and traditions that you choose to make your wedding the perfect ceremony for both individuals.

  • Baby Naming / Bris

Naming your child is a sacred occasion and it is my honor to welcome your child into the Jewish community. If a baby boy is being circumcised, (b'rit milah) typically done on the eighth day after birth, the boy is given his Hebrew name at the same time. Baby namings for girls are usually done in the first few weeks of the baby's life but can happen at any time.

  • Funeral / Unveiling

Putting into words the value of a loved one’s life is one of the most important experiences we are faced with when we lose someone. Each funeral is unique because of the circumstances and is treated with extreme consideration.

It takes extra care to help guide and facilitate a comforting ceremony of closure. My goal is to help you find meaning through the brilliance of our tradition. I explain the rituals and provide the needed care.

Within the first year after the passing of your loved one, the traditional practice is to meet again at graveside for a final goodbye. The unveiling ceremony is usually intimate, and their headstone is uncovered to provide a final sense of closure.
