Exciting New Changes in our Nachshon Community!
Over the last few months, our Nachshon Community has undergone major changes that I would like to share with you. The goal and purpose of restructuring, based on your engagement and interest, is to make our organization more streamlined and, therefore, more sustainable for the years to come.
The biggest change is that our dear Sandra Gelfat will no longer be serving as Executive Director of Nachshon. It is hard to imagine Nachshon without Sandra, she is such a pillar and builder of our Nachshon family. Don’t worry; she will continue being a beloved and active member of our community. This is why this letter is so important, because so many, I know, would like to share with her how much she has touched their lives. Dana Kaplan, who many of you already know, will continue to work in our office and is always happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. She can be reached at mitzvahnachshon@gmail.com and officenachshon@gmail.com.
Going forward, Nachshon will be operating with some new and different digital platforms for all to enjoy. Additionally, our membership fees will be changing to accommodate and sustain our membership base. Many of our community’s children who are now adults will eventually want me to officiate at weddings, baby-naming’s and other life celebrations. Belonging to a Jewish community is crucial to keeping our Jewish identity alive and there is no other community like Nachshon.
