I used to just feel as though Jewish holidays popped up randomly and interrupted my “real” life. Then I discovered that the Jewish calendar is not just linear days, but actually a cyclical time to process the inner job of personal and spiritual improvement. By following the “circle of the year” through the holidays, you will see how they are stopping points throughout the year. I love to teach how the calendar was embedded into the steady natural rhythms and cycles of the seasons. We are a people that are governed by the moon and our calendar allows us to align with the ebb and flow of nature.
